Various Festivals in Bali

Bali has a variety of festivals, rituals and events. Balinese culture has a great meaning behind all of its festivities. Some festivals in Bali are dedicated to certain gods, including those that are knowledge, virtue, birth, or symbolizes.

Feasts, festivals and fasting retreat, blood sacrifice and temple festivals are all part of the festival Bali. Festivals mean the anniversary of the founding of a temple called Odalan are very famous. Tumpek Landep is a festival of weapons and metal tools for proper use and function in every Balinese family compound. The celebration of the harvest of rice is one of the many folk festivals in Balinese culture. Tribute was paid to the rice god Dewi Sri, by small dolls made of straw rice-god in the fields and villages.
